I tried this software to split couple of files by line. But the splited files lost couples of lines. Can you feature this out? I do appreciate it if you could tell which lines are lost.

Thanks!

Lyman,

I need more info on your situation. It's good that you mention that you were splitting by line.

Now, did you have the add header to each file chunk set?
Were you working with the UI or command-line?
If possible, could you email me the file to support@systemwidgets.com?

I need as much information as possible, especially the steps you used, so that I can reproduce your problem.

Thanks!

Yes, I did that with adding header to each file chunk set and I were using the UI on a CSV file.

The steps as following,

  1. Locate the file and select the Type of File for CSV
  2. Select the file I want to split
  3. Select the Output Directory, different from the File to Process
  4. Click on By lines
  5. Fill out 150 for Lines Per File
  6. Check on Include Header in Each File Chunk
  7. Click the button of Process.

I sorry for some reason I can't provide the file for you. But if you do need it, I will make up one.

Thanks!

Ok, I found the problem. I should be able to upload a new release tonight.

Thanks for reporting this. It was quite nasty.

Alright, I just uploaded version 1.2.

The last chunk of the file was not being written to disk. This is now fixed. Please try it, and let me know how it works for you.

Thanks!
