| When I attempt to split a text file into 3000 lines per file it doesn't output the split files. When I try 1 line, it doesn't output either. However, when I split based upon size (KB) it works fine. | | | |

| Tried this with a 3.64GB file, 3,910,017,803 bytes, and it didn't work. Using version 1.4.1. Set the by line to 1000000. Then I tried setting the by line to 100000, and it generated two files and stopped. The first file size is 40.1 MB (42,095,774 bytes), and the second file size is 38.6 MB (40,535,054 bytes). Any solutions? Trying to split the file in "half" (two files less than 2GB). | | | |

| I won't be able to look at this for a few days. Since you don't seem to need some of the fancy stuff that my splitter does, why don't you use HJ-Split for now? HJ-Split Website : http://www.freebyte.com/hjsplit/ You could split your file in half with this utility. | | | |

| The Text File Splitter 2.0 and newer can now handle very large files. I just tested it with a file that was 5.7 gigabytes. I split this file into chunks of 500 megs. | | | |
